Obituary

On that special day , September 4, 1976, at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC,. our beloved Theresa Alphina Conteh made her grand entrance into the world and was welcomed by her parents  Alpha and Betty Conteh. Theresa was known to her family and friends as Twinkles. Theresa was the eldest of three children, She attended Rogers Heights Elementary School and Bladensburg High School. After graduating High School. Theresa registered and was accpted to Woodland Job Core, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. She was a temporary employee, until she transferred to permanent status with the U.S. Department of Education. In 2000, Theresa began her career with the U.S. Department of Education. She was a diligent employee. Theresa took her job seriously and with pride while working hard to elevate herself. in recent years, Theresa persevered during her illness to continue leading various FSA work projects and priorities as a Management and Program  Analyst. She recently served as an Analst in the Borrower Systems Division within the Delivery Systems and Extended Workforce Directorate. She also performed functions in support of the feedback and Dispute Management System (FDMS), supporting Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) discharges as well as processing Intra Government Payment Collection (IPAC) transactions. Theresa had an infectious personality allowing others to approach her with case. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering for various organizations representing FSA, including the White House. Theresa was a loving person, who also loved quiet time by herself. She loved plants and dogs, especiality her dog. Mr. Maxwell who she lovingly called Max. Theresa dream was to write children's books. She was very overprotective of her little sister, Isata. Theresa loved her nieces and nephews and loved to spend time with them. She boasted about them to everyone. Purple was her favorite color. Theresa was a very resilient person. Her resilience was reflected during her battle. She fought a good fight, however, on March 14, 2021, the angels came to carry Beloved Theresa to her new home to rest in paradise. Theresa's younger brother Alpha Sulalmon Conteh preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents Alpha and Betty Contah; Sister: isata Conteh; Nephews: Alpha Conteh and Myron Conteh; Nieces: Isha Conteh, Myonla Conteh and Myangel Hicks; Great nephew: Semaj Conteh and Great niece: Amyra Conteh: long time boyfriend. Darrell Allison; many relatives, friends and colleagues. We love you dear Twinkles. May your soul R.I.P
