Takiem Washington was born on October 10, 1973 at the Washington Hospital Center to Juanita Hollingsworth and the late Norris Washington. She was called to rest on Monday November 16, 2015 at the George Washington University Medical Center. She is the oldest of her mother's two children. Takiem was raised in Washington DC and Glenarden, MD, she attended Brightwood Elementary Paul Junior High and was a graduate of Parkdale Senior High. For the last year or more she worked for Randstad Employment Agency and prior to that worked several years at Fannie Mae. At an early age Takiem gave her life to the Lord at the Holy Mountain of God Church where Bishop Victor Patterson Sr. is the pastor. She was on the usher board, dance ministry, drama ministry and a life long member of the youth choir under the leadership of the late Maxine Clark. Takiem never missed a day calling her daughter and talking to her grandchildren as well as reaching out to her brother. She was always so full of life and fun to be around. Some of her favorite things to do were going to the beach with her family, shopping, going to her grandson's games and hanging out with her cousins and girlfriends. She also enjoyed hanging out with her mom. One of favorite quotes: "You know I Don't Miss No Meals" for this food is divine. Her smiles, words of encouragement and support will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church family.
