PAMELA'S STORY
Pamela Carlett Richardson was a Washington, DC native born on February 14, 1954, to the late Norman and Ora Richardson. She was baptized at a very early age and was very strong in her faith.
She attended Crossland High School where she received her diploma. After completing high school, Pamela attended Prince George's Community College to pursue her degree in Counseling. Pamela also had a passion for interior design and hoped to pursue this field later in life. Pamela was very close to her mother and they spent valuable time bonding. Pamela grew up working in her mother's record store, "Ora's Wax Hut" in Washington, DC. She took pride in managing and operating the business. She also loved music and dancing. Pamela was known as a "fly girl" by most of her family and friends due to her extravagant taste in clothing and style. Pamela had a beautiful smile that would lighten up a room, and a gentle, loving spirit. She was very devoted and committed to her family and children.
In 1983, Pamela met the love of her life, Anthony Baker. They cherished and enjoyed life together. From this union, they had two lovely children, Donita Andrea Richardson (Davenport) and Antoine Leroy Richardson. Pamela was very proud of her children and always "blushed" when she talked about them. Pamela always mentioned that her children and grand-children were very special, close and dear to her heart.
Pamela's other interests included cooking and cleaning (she did not play about the cleanliness of her home), listening to music and spending time with her family.
Pamela Carlett Richardson was called home to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:10pm on May 12, 2020, where he sealed her eyes in Room 310 at Bridgepoint National Harbor Hospital. Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Jackson; her father, Norman Richardson; her grandfather, Alfred Jones; and grandmother, Thelma Jones; great-aunt, Amanda Wood; and uncle William (Bill) Richardson.
Pamela leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted friend Anthony Baker; son, Antoine Richardson; daughter, Donita & husband Geoffrey Davenport; two grandchildren, Dezaray and Damion Palmer; one brother Joseph (JoJo) Jackson and children Kora, Kaleb & Kayla Jackson; aunt Glady Daniels and a host of other relatives and friends.
