Ozie B. Rogers, daughter of the late John Nesbitt and the late Beatrice Nesbitt, was born June 27th, 1918 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was called to her eternal home on Sunday May 15th, 2016.
Ozie B. was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother who devoted her life to her love ones. She was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over 40 years. As a member of Shiloh, she was a member of the Deaconess Ministries, the Excelsior Circle Ministries and several other organizations within the Church. Ozie B. love spending time and traveling with her church family. Her favorite trip was to Jerusalem where she visited the Holy Land. She also loved shopping and cooking fried chicken and cream puffs for her family. She worked for the United States Treasury Department where she retired. Her life will be cherished in the lives of her family. Ozie B. was preceded in death by her parents, John & Beatrice Nesbitt, brother, John Wesley Nesbitt, son, Zanius Rogers and granddaughter, Zena Rogers-Bush. She leaves to cherish her memories, Dearing Rogers (Son), Zanetta and Devetta Rogers (Granddaughters), Dearing Rogers (Grandson), Rashad, Shana, and Jasmine Rogers, Dinetta, William, DaShaun, Raymond, and Manny Broome (Great-Grandchildren), 9 Great-Great grandchildren, Mary Rogers-Ealey (Daughter in law) and a host of other relatives and friends.
