"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
O'Dell McDaniel, Jr. lovingly known as "Junior", son of the late Vera Lowe and O'Dell McDaniel, Sr. was born in Columbia, South Carolina on January 10, 1960. O'Dell responded to his call which transported him from this life into his eternal resting place with God on Saturday, March 27, 2021. O'Dell, Jr. was known for his love for travel. His favorite place to visit was the place of his birth South Carolina. He also enjoyed electronics and sports, cheering on his Pittsburgh Steelers each football season. He was a fun person to be around! He could allways be found singing along to hymns at his church home, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Washington, DC. He loved Jesus and his church family. A legacy of love and compassion has been imprinted on the hearts of all the lives O'Dell has touched. Celebrating his life and legacy are his father O'Dell, Sr. and stepmother Gary (Leslie); adoring sisters, Tamica, Lafayette, Sandy, Sonia (Tony) and Blondell (Jacob); stepsisters Lisa (Bernard) and Sandra; special friend Linda Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
