Mary Bell Parham Boozer was born September 17,1945 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Springfield and Essie Parham. She departed this life November 10, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital.
Mary came to Washington DC area at the age of 16. She was organized, dependable, responsible and a hard worker. Mary was employed at Melwood for 10 years before leaving to work for Didlake Inc. at the White House where she had the distinguished honor of meeting President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama. Mary retired in 2011.
Mary was a caring person and loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She was especiailly fond of spending time with her grandchildren for which Mary had nicknames for all of them. She also enjoyed cooking and dancing. Mary had a smile that would light up the room - neighbors and co-workers alike appreciated her big personality.
She leaves behind to cherish her devoted son Richard (Gwen), her youngest son Christopher (Tanya)Boozer; her only daughter Cecilia Stegall (Arnie); two brothers and three sisters. Mary was blessed with five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, her dear Uncle Dock Issac Dillard and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved son James Tyrone Boozer.
