Manuel Quezon H. Tobia, 67, died peacefully at their home on March 31, 2020, after a decade of lingering illness.
Born August 19, 1952, in Ilocos Sur, the Philippines to the late Faustino and Patrocinio Tobia. He was fondly called Manny or Quezon.
He was amazingly passionate about farming and equally conscientious of people working in his small farm that he ensured their needs are provided for up to his last few days.
He also loved sports and delighted in the joyous company of fellow brilliant minds and flourished in the perennial exchange of ideas.
Manuel was also an excellent tour guide and, with his wife, traveled in different parts of the globe where both enjoyed organic food and shared interests in the Arts.
Manuel's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife Josephine, his children Baggy and Melissa Tobia, Peter and Lorena Philips, grandchildren Emryelle, Noel and Regi, sisters Frances T. Quiviger, Celia T. Bulan, Victoria T. Dungo, Caridad T. Tharan and Cristina T. Astudillo, brothers Robert and Mario Tobia, brothers in law, Enri Bulan & Ricky Astudillo and Edwin Dungo.
Manuel wants to be remembered this way:
"I have devoted a sizeable part of my life trying to help the downtrodden and victims of injustice.
'I have been part of an endeavor that espoused for the use of renewable and green energy for our country.
"In my remaining days, I want to renew my understanding and embrace of love, responsibility and celebration of life!"
