Larry Donnell Ward., age 68, transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on Saturday, August 31,
2024. He was born September 6, 1955 in Pitt County, NC to the late Robert Graham Ward and Georgia
Lee Ward.

After attending Farmville Central High School, Larry resided in many states, creating fond memories with
family. Maryland, Texas, Virginia, and New York to name a few. However, Pitt County, NC was always
home. He was known for being the life of the party, bringing laughter to any situation, and mastering
the art of retelling stories. His favorite pastime was gathering with family and friends, where you would
find him on the grill. He was the embodiment of resilience and loved by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his son Adrian Ward, sister Linda Ward Moore, sister Ethel Davis, and brother
Bobby Ward. He leaves to cherish his memories:  Two brothers; Robert L. Ward of South Carolina and
James L. Ward (Trish) of Carlisle, PA. One sister; Mary Ward of Fountain, NC. Close relatives; Danny
White of Rocky Mount, NC and Velma "Sally" Dixon of Fountain, NC. His children Anthony Tyson
(Tanisha) of Connecticut, Tyrese Smith and step daughter Thomiah Smith both of Virginia, Latonya
Johnson (Jamel) and Melody McKinney Cooper (Jamel) both of Maryland, and a host of very close nieces
and nephews, grandchildren, loved ones, and friends.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 11:00 am-Noon at Salvation & Praise Full
Gospel Church 9243 W Marlboro Rd Farmville, NC 27828.
Homegoing service will take place at Noon (in the same location), with his nephew Bishop Timothy Ward
officiating.

Burial will follow in the Buddy Hemby Memorial Cemetery 2825 Otter Creek Church Rd Fountain, NC
27829.
