Geraldine McDonald answered the call of her Heavenly Father on December 3,2017 at Providence Hospital, Washington, D.C. She was born December 5,1938. She was the oldest of two children born to the late Lena Precha and Fred Morrow. Her brother George Precha preceded her in death in February of 2000. Geraldine received her formal education in the McDowell County School System of West Virginia attending Elkhorn Elementary. After junior high school. Geraldine left West Virginia and came to Washington,D.C. where she attended Spingarn High School and later gained employment at the Washington Hospital Center in the Dietary Department. She became a supervisor in the Dietary Department and then Manager of the Banquet Department. She was employed there for over 30 years. Geraldine met and married Louis McDonald in September of 1960. To this ubion were born two sons, Louis Gregory McDonald (deceased) and Aaron McDonald. Sne was a member of rhe New Dawn Baptist Church in Hyattsville, Maryland. Geraldine loved worshipping at church and being a member of the choir, taking daily walks,cooking, dancing and playing cards. She leaves to cherish ber memory; one son, Aaron McDonald; a granddaughter Dorretta Coleman (LeVar); two grandsons, Louis Gregory Poteat and Demetruis Poteat; six great grandchildren: a niece, Adrienne Precha; a host of others relatives and friends.
