From an early age,Ricky was a naturally curious and intelligent young man with a passion for

could be found in the kitchen,where Ricky took great pride and joy in preparing delicious dishes for

his family.He enjoyed making meals with love and passion,and those fortunate enough to taste his

cooking were always delighted by the delicious food he created.Cooking was more than preparing a

meal for Ricky—it was another way he expressed his creativity,shared his love,and brought happiness

to those around him.

Ricky graduated from Edison Tech High School and continued his education at the Rochester Institute

of Technology(RIT),where he studied Biotechnology and Chemistry.Education was an important part

of his life.He was always a student at heart—someone who enjoyed reading,learning,exploring,and

gaining knowledge.His natural curiosity remained a defining part ofwho he was throughout his life.

In 1982,Ricky proudly known as“Alex”during his military service,joined the United States Army.He

honorably served his country from 1982 to 1986,carrying with him a strong sense of duty,discipline,

and commitment.His desire to contribute and serve others continued beyond his military career.

In 1990,Ricky joined the American Red Cross in Donor Recruitment,where he dedicated his time

and talents to an organization committed to helping others.

In 1991,Ricky began a long and dedicated career with Arnold &Porter,where he worked as a Supply

Clerk until his retirement in 2015.Throughout his professional life,he was known for his calm

demeanor,dependability,and respectful nature-qualities that reflected the man he was both at work

and in his everyday life.

Those who knew Ricky knew him as a quiet,calm,respectful,and gentle man.He was private and

comfortable keeping to himself,but beneath that quiet nature was a thoughtful,intelligent,and

creative man with a mind that was always curious and willing to learn something new.

Ricky found joy in the simple things in life.He loved reading,cooking,creating,enjoying good food,

and fishing with his grandparents.He appreciated the process of making something with his own

hands,whether it was a creative project,a delicious meal,or simply sharing time with the people

he loved.

Ricky lived his life with a quiet strength and gentle spirit.He may not have been the loudest person in the room,but his presence mattered.His intelligence,creativity,peaceful nature,and the love he

showed in his own quiet way will remain a part of the memories shared by those who had the privilege

of knowing him

Frederick was preceded in death by his father,Sam Brumfield,and his mother, Sharon Alexander-Prout.

He leaves to cherish his memory a host of brothers and sisters,nieces and nephews,aunts and uncles,

cousins, and dear friends.

Though Ricky has departed this life,his memory will continue to live on-in the family and friends who loved him,in the knowledge he gained and shared,in the work to which he dedicated himself,in the meals he lovingly

prepared,and in the many lives he touched along the way.
