Denzel M. Scipio (Zell) was born in Washington, DC on February 14, 1992, to Adrienne McRant Cunningham and the late James Preston Scipio. Denzel made his transition from this life on April 27, 2022, in Baltimore, MD. Denzel was educated in the Prince George's County Public School System. He attended Free State Military Academy his Junior and Senior year of High School graduated earning his diploma. After Military Academy, he was employed by Land Lover Lawncare: Toys R Us: Outback and Ruby Tuesday Restaurants: and People Ready. Inc. where he became a certified Traffic Flagger in the states of Maryland and Virginia. As ayouth , Zell attended the Church of Great Commission uder the leadership of Bishop David T.P. Perrin. He attended Sunday school and loved to "praise and worship" dance in the aisle at church services. Zell was an outstanding athlete. He excelled in basketball and appointed "Point Guard" for AAU and YBOA team, PG Lightning." He was a sought-after football player in the Boys and Girls Club Football League. Denzel received dozens of trophies over the years helping his team achieve championships. Zell was known to light up a room with is laughter and larger than life personality. Zell will fondly be remembered for his vivacious smile. Denzel was preceded in death by his father, James P. Scipio: and one uncle Kirk M. McRant. Denzel M. Scipio leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Adreinne McRant Cunningham and stepfather Marshall Cunningham: his siblings, Latoya McRant, Erica Scipio-Solomon, Sheena Scipio, Sheleek Cox and Quatrez Scipio: his Grandparents Delores and Albert McRant: one niece Serenity Young: three loving cousins he was raised with, Asia Bates, Cashmere Bates, Anthony Brown. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
