A Time to Be Born : Deborah Ann Ellison was born on March 24,1957 to the late Walter & Elizabeth Ellison in Brooklyn , New York. She was the oldest of two children. She was preceded in death by her brother Walter James Ellison Jr.
A Time to Plant : Her family moved to Washington, D.C. in her early teens, where she attended DC Public Schools. She graduated from Cardoza Senior High School in 1973.
A Time to Build Up : Deborah worked for Meridian International Center for the past 10 years. She was a diligent worker with a very quiet spirit. She was affectionately known as Ms. Deborah and was a great asset to Meridian.
A Time to Live: Deborah loved to read and spent a lot of time at the library and area bookstores. She also was a great cook and you could find her in the kitchen trying out a new recipe on her family. She truly enjoyed family time with her grandchildren whom God blessed her with and she loved unconditionally.
A Time to Die : On Tuesday, March 15. 2016 at 5:21 pm, God closed Deborah's weary eyes and called her into his glory at Washington Hospital Center's Comfort Care Unit.
A Time to Weep : She leaves to celebrate her life her daughters, Brandi Ellison , Keisha Ellison, and Shereese Sims : grandchildren, Rashad Ellison and Jemyah Ellison: a nephew , Walter Ellison, III and a host of other relatives and friends. If roses grow In Heaven Lord please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my other's arms and tell her they are from me. Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek, and hold it for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day. But there is an ache within my heart.
