Obituary

Bradley Brown Broadus (70), son of the late Stanford "Jack" Broadus and Sylvia Mundy was born April 24, 1954 in Washington, DC. He departed life on December 4, 2024 at the Washington, District of Columbia VA Hospital. Bradley was the fourth youngest of the five children with Sylvia Bradley also had gained more siblings when his father, Jack married Mary Broadus. Bradley received his education in the DC Public Schools System. Subsequently, he enlisted in the Army. He was proud to be a soldier and serve his country. He was a US soldier and served in the Vietnam era. Bradley had various jobs over his lifetime. He was considered a jack of all trades.

Sometime after being honorably discharged from the Army. Bradley was joined in holy matrimony to Sheila Jones (deceased). From this union he had two daughters Yolanda and Felicia. Later on, Bradley met Marilyn, enetered into a union, and gained two sons David and Krishna.

Bradley enjoyed various activities such as Bowling, Golfing, Fishing, cooking, spending time with family and having an enjoyable time. He was known for being a jokester and having " no filter." He was also known for making great food. He was a people person and to know him was to love him. He was known as the Petworth man and the "Mayor" of the neighborhood. The people in the neighborhood loved him. Bradley searched for the God of his own understanding to adopt a spiritual lifestyle. Bradley, he studied the Bible made Berean Baptist Church his church home. He was a fisherman for God. he enjoyed listening to Rev. Childs preach his sermons on Sunday morning.

Bradley will always be remembered for having a big heart, lots of laughter, and overall, a great person to be around. Bradley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. he is an angel that will surely be missed.

Bradley was survived by his wife Marilyn Muir; Four children Yolanda Woodridge, David Muir (Andy), Krishna Muir (Jennifer), and Felisha (Broadus) Williams (Damien); fifteen grandchildren, Jeardon Woodridge, Demetry Ferguson, Tensley Woodridge, Mizell Taylor, Kayla Muir, Kadar Muir, Micah Muir, Angel Sewell, Ryan Muir, Lauren Williams, Kayden Muir, Layla Rivera, Andrew Sewell, Kesha Muir, and Adam Sewell; three great grandchildren Serenity Bailey, Harmony Anderson,and Allanna Ray Muir; and by his Aunt Sharon (Broadus) Francis; Sisters and Brothers Sandra (Norris) Walden, Thurlow K. Norris, Virgil T. Norris, Velda M. Norris, Brenda (Norris) Route, Leah (Hill) Queen (Robert), and Jay B. Broadus (Karen); sister , Dorothy (Dottie-Mae) Scott, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Bradley Brown Broadus is preceded in death by his parents; Stanford Broadus, Mary F. (Norris) Broadus, and Sylvia (Wright) Mundy. Three sisters Roseanne (Mundy) Gray, Patricia Leslie, and Sharon L. Norris, and one brother Howard Norris Jr., and a host of loved ones including nephews Ricky Norris, Luis Norris.
