Ann Bathersfield McPherson died at Georgetown University Hospital on July 11, 2017 in Washington D.C. due to complications following breast cancer. She was 44 years. Mrs. McPherson was born June 30 ,1973 in Guyana to the parents Enid Bathersfield and the late Peter Bathersfield known as Supa. She attained her education at Buxton Congressional School and St. Rose High School before she migrated to the United States and obtained a degree in accounting at the University of District of Columbia. She married Cosbert McPherson. Ann was a faithful hardworking individual who loved sports; participated in track and field events at home in Guyana and thoughout her high school years at Roosevelt High in D.C. and later at the University of District of Columbia. Bingo was a means of relaxation in her later years. Just after graduating from college she worked at Georgetown University Hospital and later Children's Hospital. Her last assignment was at Howsrd University just weeks before she became ill and transitioned home. Mrs McPherson is survived by her daughter Jazmin, sons Jamal and Jermaine, and her husband Cosbert, along with her mother, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Ann's memories are cherished by her mother Beryl Bathersfield, her husband Cosbert, children Jamal, Jermaine and Jazmin McPherson, her three sisters Candace Harry, Joy Moore, Diane Leatham and her three brothers Clinton, Kester and Kofi. Along with her in-laws Candace and Urinany Bathersfield, Kennard Leatham, Walter Moore, Cleveland Harry, Andrew Maynard Willard, Pat and Abikki. Nieces and nephews Leon, Paige, and Breiana Bathersfield, Mark Moore, Andrew Harry, Keenan Leatham and 6 others. Nieces in law Tawana, Marcia, Andrew, and Fiana. Cousins Tia, Patrick, Albert and Wuoncy Bathersfield, Wavney Rose, Haslyn Booker, Petal Gilkes, Collin Accra, Sydney Grant, Genivive Adams, Hazel French, Carol Hope, Sandrine Roberts, Tenecia McCaddy and others, Friends Paula, Colleen, Shaunette, Emmanuel, Sister Debby, Clamont, Tunesia, Abi, Mr. Daniels, Father Stephens and others too numerous to mention.
