Alvin Delano Thomas fondly known as "AL" transitioned from life to life eternal on Saturday March 5,2016. He was born March 11,1958 in Lillybrook, West Virginia. Al graduated from Wheaton High School in 1976. Known for a natural ability to work with his hands, he later trained as a HVAC technician. Al enjoyed the fulfillment of his career and spent many years successfully perfecting his craft. He then decided to open the "M&C Handy Man Services". Al treasured the simple pleasures of life. Spending time with his family and friends gave him much joy. Al believed in the oneness of family, and was always there to lend a helping hand whenever he could. Alvin was blessed with 3 daughters: Veronica, Monica, and Cherelle. he was later thrilled about the arrival of his grandchildren. Raja, Ava, Christian and Aaron. They were truly the light of his life. Al was true "Renaissance Man", and loved repairing cars, and doing home renovations. There wasn't much he couldn't fix. He enjoyed the outdoors and never passed up the opportunity to go camping or fishing. Al could often be found on a hot summer's day sitting with family and friends, telling jokes and feasting on abushel of crabs. He was known as a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, and didn't hesitate to remind people that his team was #1.
Al's funny, charismatic and genuine personality attracted many friends. Al leaves his family with many irresplaceable memories to forever. His laugh , smile, unique stories, jokes and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed. Throughout Al's journey he gained strength, perseverance and greater trust inGod. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Elizabeth Williams, 2 daughters, son in law Gary, his siblings; one sister Vivian Dickens, four brothers, Anthony Clark (Marilyn), Montinas Butler (Diane), Arthur Williams Jr. (Kathy), Terrence Williams (Melissa); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
