Allen Gregg was born on February 19,1961, to Cleveland Gregg, Jr. (deceased) and Joann Dubose Gregg of Hartsville, South Carolina. He received his education in the Alexandria City Public Schools, where he graduated from T.C. Williams High School in 1980. At T.C. Williams, Allen was a natural athlete and excelled in both football and basketball. After graduating, Allen served in the U.S. Navy and worked in security throughout the remainder of his career.
Allen believed in God and grew up attending Alleyne A.M.E. Zion Church.
He loved his family, and always brought laughter to both his family and friends. He was a great support in caring for his mother on the weekends. They would enjoy watching Westerns together. Allen always had a smile and loved to crack jokes.
Allen Gregg was called to glory on Tuesday, November 11th. Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Joann Gregg; five daughters, Kamoshia, Chardawn, Sherr'e, Sherre'on, Aacha; one son, Jordan; eleven grandchildren, Orlando Shania, Ni Asia, Daishya , Jada ,Amari, Rashad, Nekhi, Amir, Aaliyah, and Niyah; three siblings, Cleveland (LaVonne), Theresa (Ike), and Sharon (Jonathan); two nieces, Kendall and Sydney; three nephew's Nathanial (Brittany), Zachary, and Joshuah; two great nieces Isabelle and Olivia; and one great nephew Nathanial Jr. Allen also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
